I'm not a superstitious because it  is an anti-cultural phenomenon.

I’m not at all superstitious, and this is because of the way I was brought up.

My parents were rigorous in dismissing anything that was superstitious. Black cats, the number 13, opening umbrellas indoors, magpies, broken mirrors, walking under ladders, ‘jinxing’, rabbits’ feet, medallions and anything of that nature was not discussed in our house, and if either I or my sister brought those ideas home from our friends, my mother would explain that ‘we don’t do that’, and that they were superstitions.
