I live on Hai Ba Trung street. The area is quite crowded with vehicles and people all day since it is near the Old Quarter. There are all kinds of shops side by side: clothes, foods, drinks, ... As crowded as it is, people in the area are so friendly that you could never find anywhere else in Hanoi. I enjoy staying here since it is very close to my school and my parents' workplace that we can just walk to school or work. 

For some people. their idols must be a popstar, a movie star or a celebrity. But for me, my idol is a much closer person: my mother. 
She is an engineer, a mother, a wife, a daughter-in-law, my teacher, my best friend and my therapist. It is mostly impossible for a person to handle everything at once, but she manages to get everything done, perfectly. She gets up earlier than everyone, and goes to bed earlier than no one. One time when I was a child, I asked her what kept her so strong and motivated. Her answer, of course, was us - her children. Now looking back, I know that it's not us who gave her the strength but her love towards everyone kept her moving forward. She is my true heroeine who never wears capes. I love her with all my heart and my gratitude.

There is one person unconditionally loving me, giving me the best things she has got. That woman is called mom. She is tall and thin with a symmetrical oval face and oriental complexion. With wavy brown hair, high straight nose and brown light eyes, she looks extremely stunning. She used to be an accountant, but several years ago she quitted her job to be a housewife at home looking after the whole family. Many have underestimated the importance of housewife whose main occupation is caring for her family, managing household affairs and doing the housework. Evenly sometimes I asked myself whether it is too much. Then after that I realised how extraordinary my mother is to handle all these domestic works. She always prepares balanced nutritious meals with all her adroitness and meticulousness. In addition, she is concerned about my study process and academic outcomes. She usually encourages me to concentrate on study and helps me whenever I encounter troublesome problems. She is also a gentle and sympathetic mother. She never exerts to violence when I make mistakes, instead, she gives me advice and directions. I am always grateful for her bringing me up into such a daughter. I really hope that in the future I can do many things to compensate for her sacrifice.

I am living in a quiet and safe place with great neighbors. My neighborhood is a very nice place to live in. Although there is a regular amount of noise in any place, there are many peaceful moments in my neighborhood. For example, after most people go to work, I can hardly hear any noise. Of course, when the children get home, there is more noise; however, it is relatively quiet all day in my neighborhood. Also, I feel safe living here. There are two police stations near my area so we don't have to worry about any social problems. Since there is not much traffic, we don’t worry too much about traffic jams or pollution. Besides, my neighbors are really good people. They take care of each other and this makes where I live extra nice. All in all, my neighborhood is the best place I have ever lived.
