On June 15, 2016, the Vietnamese government agreed to allow the import of a Japanese solar-powered bus for testing in the next five years.
The import of solar-powered electric cars has been part of a cooperation program between Vietnam's Hai Phong city and Japan's Kitakyushu city to build a green port city since 2014.
These solar-powered buses are imported in the form of temporary import, re-export and are exempt from import tax. Cases of importing electric buses after 2020 (if any) must declare and pay taxes according to regulations.
The two cities have signed and piloted in seven areas: waste treatment, energy, water supply and drainage - rainwater drainage, environmental protection, transportation, clean production and Cat Ba island.
In particular, the expert group focused on introducing a number of urgent issues such as waste classification, garbage resources, construction of a common wastewater treatment station, use of public transport, electric buses. Environmental friendliness; biodiversity conservation, development of eco-tourism in Cat Ba island.
It can be said that the form of a solar-powered bus will bring a greener, safer and more quality life to the people of Hai Phong city in particular and the whole country in general.

Buses everyone knows are an indispensable means of transportation in life.
