Tet is a national festival in Vietnam,  many Vietnamese people love it. Tet is celebrated in the January of lunar calendar to welcome new year. Before Tet, people buy food, fruits, drink, flowers, and the most important is the peach blossom or kumquat tree. Children are bought new clothes  by their parents.  On New Year's Eve, all of the family members gather to give each other the best wishes and have a meal. During Tet, people can go to the parks, stadiums to see fireworks, it is very beautiful. Children can receive lucky-money from parents and relatives. I like  staying at home to watch the New Year's comedies, it makes me laugh a lot.  On the next day, people go to the temple to thank the ancestors, Buddha  who helped everyone in the old year. In short, I really love Tet.

Tet is my favourite time of the year. Before Tet, I usually go shoppng with my mom. We by so many things like foods, clothes and a beautiful Tet tree. I love going to the tree market, everyone is so happy there! We usually pick a big pink blossom tree for our house. Before Tet, I also help my parents to clean to clean the house. During Tet holiday, I often visit my grandparents and my relatives on the first day. On the second day, we usually have dinner at home with my parents'friends. It's our tradition. We also go to pagoda to wish for good luck. My favourite part about Tet holiday is to have a long holiday so I don't need to worry about school or homework. I can play all day and spend more time with my family.
