Every one of us have seen a rainbow. A rainbow is a delightful natural scenery which is pleasant to our eyes. A rainbow, which is a natural phenomenon, is seen in sunny sky after a rainy day. A rainbow is a multi-coloured arc or curved line comprising 7 vibrant colours. The colours of the rainbow are 'violet', 'indigo', 'blue', 'green', 'yellow', 'orange', and 'red' and also known as 'VIBGYOR' taken from the first letter of each colour. Rainbows form when the sun’s rays strike 'raindrops falling from faraway rain clouds'. They appear in the sky opposite the sun, normally in the morning or afternoon. Another fascinating fact is if we see a rainbow while sitting in a plane we get to see the complete shape of a rainbow, which is a circular shape. Rainbows implies harmony and peace in several ancient cultures. People use the picture of rainbows as a symbol of happiness in their paintings.
