Nguyen Thanh Tung (born July 5, 1994), commonly known by his stage name Son Tung M-TP, is a Vietnamese male singer, songwriter and actor.  Born in Thai Binh city, in his childhood, Tung often sang at the Children's Cultural Palace in Thai Binh province and learned to play the organ.  After that, Tung together with his classmates formed a group, named Over Band, started to compose and post his songs on a website specializing in music called LadyKillah.

 Tung became famous when he released two singles "The rain passed by" and "Yesterday's Em", marking the beginning of his career.  The first album in his career was the OST soundtrack album that year OST was released in 2014, including two singles, "Someone Will Come" and "Not That Kind" to achieve success.  commercially large.  In 2017, Son Tung M-TP received more goodwill recognition from the online community after releasing two singles included in the first compilation album, "Lac Lac" and "This place has you".  Son Tung M-TP also released a compilation album M-TP in the same year.  Son Tung's debut studio album, We (2020) includes two singles, "Give it to me" (2019) in collaboration with American rapper Snoop Dogg to resonate and set a record, national media  Appreciation;  and "Run it now" (2018).  Son Tung's second soundtrack album, Sky Tour (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) released in 2020 reached No. 83 on the global iTunes charts.

 Tung spent more than four years with Van Production and WePro Entertainment until founding his record label M-TP Entertainment at the end of 2016. Son Tung M-TP kicked off his first concert tour.  First, titled M-TP Ambition - First Flight, in 2015 and ending in 2016. Tung also starred in the 2014 movie The Boy of that Year, and received a Golden Kite Award at  Category Young promising actor for his role.  In 2015, Tung appeared as a contestant in the Music program Light Harmony.  In July 2018, director Nguyen Quang Dung and Bitis Hunter co-launched the short film Journey of the Youth with Son Tung M-TP to take on a cameo role.  Son Tung's first documentary, Sky Tour, released in 2020, tells the creation and production of the tour of the same name.  Dubbed the "Prince of V-Pop", Son Tung M-TP received numerous domestic and international awards, including a Dedication Music Award, an MTV European Music Award, and a Mnet Award.  Asian Music Awards, seven Green Wave awards and listed in Forbes Vietnam's 30 Under 30 list.

In early 2012, Son Tung released the first single, The Rain of Ngua. In 2012, with a total score of 25.5 VND, Son Tung M-TP became the valedictorian of the HCMC Conservatory of Music. In October 2012, Son Tung M-TP performed the song "The Rain Ngang Qua" at Favorite Song and received the award for favorite song of the month. After Favorite Song, M-TP was invited to perform on the result night of Top 9 Vietnam Idol 2012. Next, Son Tung released 2 singles Don't Go Late and Yesterday's Sister, in which Yesterday's Sister won the Favorite Song award. In early 2014, he collaborated with Phuong Thanh, Quang Dung, Vy Oanh, Ngo Kien Huy, Mr. Cao Thang, Dong Nhi, Ho Trung Dung, Phuong Vi, and Dinh Huong, all together on the song titled Live Like Flowers and was also released as a single. In January 2015, Son Tung released a full version of "Not the right form", a song that appeared in the movie Boy that year.

His music has never been outdated, until now, his songs are still loved by many young people, along with an increasing fan base.
