Last traditional Lunar New Year, my family organized a trip to Cambodia, and it was an exciting trip. We did not go by airway; instead we chose to go by long-distance bus. After about 10 hours of sitting in the bus, we finally came to Xa Xia border which was located right next to Ha Tien. It was my first time out of the Vietnamese territory, and the religious atmosphere at Cambodia made me feel very impressed. After crossing the border, we spent about 3 more hours on the bus before reaching a small coastal province called Sihanouk. My parents were tired after a long trip, so they decided to have a rest at the hotel. However, my sister and I spent the entire afternoon wandering in the local markets. We bought a lot of interesting things, and what I like most was the delicious durian. The atmosphere there was hotter than Vietnam, so we could only comfortably go sightseeing when the sun completely disappeared. Right in the center of the town is a giant golden lion statue - Sihanouk's symbol, and I noticed that almost every major building here has a casino. Early in the next morning we boarded the ship to move to Korong Salem Island, and this was one of the most famous islands in Cambodia. After about 45 minutes on the boat, Korong Island appeared as a paradise beach with white sand and green coconut palms. The water there was crystal clear and as calm as a swimming pool. We spent a whole day swimming and playing along the beach, and we only had lunch when the sun began to shine brightly. The next day we visited some famous pagodas, and the trip ended late at night. Although I had to travel for a long way, but I feel this trip was worth it. Experiencing a new culture in Cambodia is a really exciting thing, and I hope I have opportunity to visit more countries.

Individual has their own dream; therefore we always set plan for what we are going to. I am now freshman studying English linguistic at a university in HCMC. I will do IELTS test in the third year so that it will bring me higher job opportunity. I am now practicing English day by day in order to improve listening and speaking skills. Children only learn grammar and writing technique in the school; however, they don’t have a chance to try their best in authentic environment. I am a volunteer for some international meeting hold in Vietnam; therefore I have friendly environment to develop and discover my potential. Studying from school and book are traditional way, sometimes it doesn’t include much benefit than take part in outdoor activity. Beside, applying for extra job is also my intention. I applied to be a waitress in a coffee store and I am now waiting for the result. When doing this kind of job, one makes friend with a lot of people and keeps in touch with many relationship. It helps them be more confidence, responsible and independent in life. Teacher and school teach student basic knowledge, one must attend the outside world and learn from real experience. I intend to learn teaching method as my dream is becoming an English teacher one future day. I always hope to teach student living in isolated area so as to bring knowledge to all parts of my country. Therefore, I increase my effort to finish academic program as well as acquire social skill. As English and language are necessary in modern society, I always choose to pursue my dream to become a professional English teacher.

Mỗi người có một ước mơ riêng bởi thế chúng ta luôn lên kế hoạch cho những điều sắp làm trong tương lai. Tôi đang là sinh viên năm nhất khoa tiếng anh tại một trường đại học ở thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Tôi sẽ làm bài thi IELTS vào năm thứ ba để có cơ hội việc làm tốt hơn. Tôi đang luyện tập tiếng anh hàng ngày để cải thiện kỹ năng nghe và nói. Trẻ con chỉ học ngữ pháp và kĩ thuật viết ở trường, tuy nhiên họ không có cơ hội để thử sức trong những môi trường thực tế. Tôi là tình nguyện viên của một tổ chức quốc tế đang họp tại Việt Nam, bởi thế tôi có môi trường tốt để phát triển và khám phá tiềm năng của bản thân. Học từ nhà trường và sách vở là những cách học truyền thống, đôi khi nó không đem lại nhiều lợi ích bằng việc tham gia các hoạt động ngoại khoá. Ngoài ra, xin đi làm thêm cũng nằm trong dự định của tôi. Tôi đã nộp đơn làm bồi bàn cho một quán cà phê và vẫn đang chờ đợi kết quả. Khi làm công việc kiểu này, ta có thể kết bạn với nhiều người và duy trì nhiều mối quan hệ mới. Điều này giúp ta thêm tự tin, trách nhiệm và độc lập trong cuộc sống. Giáo viên và trường học dạy ta những kiến thức cơ bản nên ta phải bước ra thế giới bên ngoài và học từ những trải nghiệm thực tế. Tôi dự định sẽ học những phương pháp giảng dạy bởi vì ước mơ của tôi là trở thành giáo viên tiếng anh một ngày trong tương lai. Tôi luôn mong được dạy cho trẻ em vùng sâu vùng xa để mang kiến thức tới mọi miền đất nước. Bởi thế, tôi nỗ lực hết mình để hoàn thành chương trình học cũng như tiếp thu kỹ năng xã hội. Bởi vì tiếng anh và ngôn ngữ rất cần thiết trong xã hội hiện đại, tôi luôn chọn theo đuổi ước mơ trở thành một giáo viên tiếng anh ưu tú.
