Vietnamese bodybuilder Pham Van Mach (from An Giang) has brought home a total of ten medals for Vietnamese bodybuilding so far. His contributions to Vietnamese sports are too great, but the simplest thing is to have a place to settle down and settle down, still a dream for him. The life of this bodybuilder is like a legend. The fateful day of March 10, 1997 was also the turning point that changed his life. He left his hometown An Giang wrapped up in Ho Chi Minh City to start a business with empty hands. As the only son of a family of eight sisters, his decision shocked his family members. Still overwhelmed by the splendor of Ho Chi Minh City, not sure how to make a living, an old friend Pham Hong Thang introduced him to Bau Cat Fitness Club as a guide. In order to improve her livelihood, Mach also accepted to work as a singer and perform Rap music at the Go Vap Cultural House.

In May 1997, Mach was crowned the student champion, but he had to wear his friend Duong Tan Dung's name, fortunately he passed. Thanks to that, Mach has caught the "green eyes" of the coaches.

Seven months later, Mach attended the national tournament and won the Gold Medal. National team coach Huynh Anh commented that Mach was superior to his competitors in terms of muscular beauty. That comment brought Pham Van Mach to join the ranks of athletes of the Vietnamese bodybuilding team.

The success is growing, but he does not forget the five years of living in Ho Chi Minh City. The motel room that Mach is currently staying in in Go Vap is just over 10m2 wide, mixed in the grave area, surrounded by many social evils. But with Mach, that is enough. He is happy with what he has and is, although his friends ridiculed the gold-rich champion, but the house did not come true.

In addition, the problem of "recharging" has become a discipline of the bodybuilder, causing difficulties for him at times. Every day, it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars for food and physical needs. The training budget provided by the committee is not enough to cover, there are months when the family has to ask for help to save the hunger, there are times when they have to beg all the rent.
