Vietnam is a multicultural country; therefore, there are a lot of customs and traditions in this country. First, you shouldn't call people by their first name. Second, you should receive things from the old with both hands. Third, you shouldn't wear shorts to sacred places such as pagodas, temples, etc. Last, people in Vietnam follow the tradition of worshipping their ancestors so there is always an altar at their houses.
