Wedding day is the most special day for both families including bride and groom. Nowadays, people seem to spend so much money on marriage ceremonies than they used to spend in the past. However, this is clearly a negative development as it includes wastage of money and food on large scale. The First and the foremost reason behind extravagant weddings is "showoff". People want to show others, their wealth and high standard of living.For an instance, In India, gatherings of thousands of people at weddings are very common and also marriage ceremonies are celebrated for several days in hotels. Another reason could be the parents wish to give best to their children.To show their love towards their children, they organize big and pricy weddings. A lot of money is spent on decorations and clothes, but most of the relatives try to find flaws rather than appreciating the concerned families. Therefore this money should be utilized by donating it to charitable societies so that they can help someone who really needs it, only then it can be called positive development.
