Dear Peter,

I am very glad to hear that you are going to come to stay with  my family for 2 weeks next month. I know that you have ever not been to Vietnam before, so I am writing to tell you about my country's customs.

One of the most important custom, as well as your country, is being polite. When you meet other person, you have to greets him politely. Moreover, before having meals, we always say "Both offer a meal". As many other Orient countries, we have ancestor worship. Members of family will gather together to worship, reminisce about their ancestors and wish good luck for life. There are many good customs on our Tet holiday such as giving lucky money to children, performing lion dance or practising first footing....I will tell you detailedly when you come Vietnam next month.
