→   She told me (that) Jim was arriving at their house the next day.

23. “You can stay in my house when I am on holiday.”

Jim told us (that) we could stay in his house when he was on holiday

24. “Do you want to travel to space one day?” Nick asked me.

Nick asked me If I wanted to travel to space one day?

25. “What is your favourite sci-fi movie or TV show, Nam?” said Viet.

 -yes/no form (defective verb) $ \text{S + reporting verb}_II/III/ed \text{+ (O )+ If  + S}_2 \text{ + từ khiếm khuyết lùi lại (can→could, will→would) + V( giữ nguyên ) +O ? }$

-Wh question form:  $ \text{S + reporting verb}_II/III/ed \text{+( O )+ Wh + S}_2 \text{ + V( lùi thì theo trợ động từ ) +O ? }$

-normal form: $ \text{S + reporting verb}_II/III/ed \text{+( O )+  + S}_2 \text{ + V( lùi thì ) +O ? }$
