Homework is a controversial issue today. Some people suppose that it should be abolished. In contrast, from my point of view, homework is very important and necessary to students. It is an indispensable task that brings many benefits to students. First of all, doing home assignments forms the habit of self-awareness which is important not only in studying but also in daily life. Secondly, it reinforces or even broadens your knowledge of the lessons you learn in class. Through the exercises you have a chance of reviewing your understanding. Besides, homework also helps improve student’s skill, especially time management; you have to make a reasonable distribution of time between different subjects or between learning and other activities. Furthermore, homework is another way for students to interact with teachers since through it teachers know how much their students have acquired, then find the more effective method of teaching. However, there are some possible negative effects of homework. The most obvious problem is that too much homework can produce stress, so student may lose interest in the subject or even in learning. Moreover, homework demands can limit the time available to spend on other beneficial activities, such as sport and community involvement. In short, I hold the opinion that students have to do practical exercises, but the educators should consider how much home work is enough to make students’ learning effectively.

There are a lot of different ideas about that homework should be abolished or not. Some people agree to abolish homework, others do not agree. In my opinion, homework shouldn't be abolished. Firstly, homework is very good for students. When doing homework, they will know if they understand the lesson, which issues they still don't understand. Then they can ask their friends or teacher to explain that matters so that they can understand the lesson more. Secondly, homework can make lazy students do homework. If students don’t do homework, they will be punishment. Some students are very lazy, they don’t want to do homework. But that they are afraid of punishments by their teacher can make them done homework. Finally, teacher will have the better suitable method through checking student’s homework. When he/she know which students is bad or good, they will apply the suitable way for each student. For example, teacher will often check and correct homework to bad students, even he/she will explain the lesson again forbad students after school. In summary, homework is very helpful to students. However, teacher should not give too much homework to students, this thing would create a burden for students
