I attended lots of different Festivals. But in VietNam, I attended Tet festival. Tet is mostly held at the end of January and beginning of February. People usually prepare special food, clean, decorate their house and spend time on family and friends, go to the pagoda. The children and elderly people receive lucky money. The traditional dishes are eaten include: banh chung, sticky rice,…. I love Tet so much because on Tet holiday, I feel very happy

Tôi đã tham dự rất nhiều Lễ hội khác nhau. Nhưng ở Việt Nam, tôi đã tham dự lễ hội Tết. Tết hầu hết được tổ chức vào cuối tháng Giêng và đầu tháng Hai. Mọi người thường chuẩn bị thức ăn đặc biệt, dọn dẹp, trang trí nhà cửa và dành thời gian cho gia đình, bạn bè, đi lễ chùa. Các em nhỏ và người già được lì xì. Các món ăn truyền thống được ăn bao gồm: bánh chưng, xôi,…. Tôi yêu Tết vô cùng vì ngày Tết tôi cảm thấy rất vui.

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year. I love Tet
