A hypothesis is a conjecture, a provisional assertion, consisting of a relationship between two or more variables directly involved in the object of study. Considering the relationship between the research hypothesis and the scientific problem (research problem), if the scientific problem is a "question", then the hypothesis is the "answer".

Eg : When observing the germination of peas or based on scientific research documents, researchers found that in normal peas, seeds that are full, with shiny seed coats, germinate well and evenly. Thus, the researcher can infer to ask the question of how to germinate beans with wrinkled shells? (This is the question). The hypothesis is that "If the germination of the bean seed is related to the seed coat, then the bean with the wrinkled shell may not germinate". This is a hypothesis that can be easily tested by experiment.

Research hypothesis is a preliminary statement or a hypothetical conclusion about the research result, the nature of the research object, proposed by the researcher to prove or disprove. Research hypothesis can be true or false. The researcher proposes a research hypothesis in order to orient the research and plan to carry out scientific research.
eg: There is not any relationship between students' dress style, hair color and their ability and academic performance.
