This festival is Ooc Bom Boc .It’s held by ethnic group in Soc Trang on the14th and 15th evenings of the 10th lunar month .They worship their Moon God at the festival. They thank him because he gives good harvest and plenty of fish in the rivers. There are many activities: first they have a worshipping ceremony at home , under the bamboo archway or at the pagoda .When the moon appears ,the old pray the Moon God and the children raise their clasped hands to the moon .The offerings are green rice flakes ,coconuts, potatoes and pia cakes .Then, they float beautiful paper lanterns on the rivers, and the next evening ,they hold thrilling dragon boat race.

tet is a traditional festival in VietNam. It's begins at february or early at the end of January. At tet ,everybody usually buy sweets ,cakes, flowers ,new furniture ,apricot blossom,... and cook many special food such as banh chung ,banh day. They often decorate their house and clean the furniture.they also buy new clothes for their children so they wear them at tet. children wish happy new year for parents,grandparents,eld people before get lucky money at the red evelope. At tet ,vietnamese people mustn't bring a black cat at home ,eat shrim .Everyone visit their relative or pagoda and gather family.Tet is very good and i also love tet so much
