My school had a wonderful English competition last month. We hold this competition to welcome Haloween. It was a kind of quiz with the name Ring the Golden Bell. We had to answer 50 questions related to Haloween and other knowledge. The competition was held at our schoolyard on the last day of November. Luckily, my classmate Huy won the first prize in that competition. We were very happy and proud of him. I enjoyed this competition very much because I could not only widen my knowledge but also made friend with other students. I hope that there will be more and more competitions like this one for us to take part in.

I love studying literature. Since I was in junior high school until now, I have been on the team to take exams for good students in literature. The contest that I like the most is the one last year. As usual, the teacher informed me that one of the students would represent the school to take the exam for excellent students in literature at the district level. After announcing the teacher started to practice for us. Every day I get to do the exam papers. I try to study hard so that I can achieve the best of my likes. On the day of the test, my mother and the literature teacher accompanied me to the test site. Our exam will take 120 minutes. After doing the homework, I and everyone came back. I am quite confident with my exam but still a little nervous waiting for the results. The result announcement day also arrived, I won first place. I am extremely happy to inform my mother to prepare for this year’s city exams. I feel that all my efforts have been well deserved.
