Today I’d like to talk to you about Harry Potter which is one of my favourite films. It was a fiction film telling a story about people in the wizarding world. The central character was Harry Potter, who used to be an orphan in the normal world before discovering that he was a wizard. Afterwards, he went to a special school called Howard where he taught him necessary skills to succeed in the wizarding world. He also had to deal with challenges in terms of study, friendship, love and even the fight against dark power. Harry Potter was recommended as a masterpiece that made me feel curious about it. Moreover, I had read the original novel before, and I really can’t put it down. So I guess the film would be as attractive as the book. I think the most important reason why I enjoyed this film was that it made me feel adventurous. It was really a fantastic film.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is the first film adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter series. The director of this film is Chris Columbus.

Harry Potter is an 11-year-old boy who suddenly finds out that he is a wizard. He lives with his uncaring Muggle aunt, uncle, and cousin since his parents died when he was a baby. They were murdered by a dark and powerful evil wizard named Lord Voldemort. Harry would be dead too, but was miraculously saved, making him something of a legend in the magic world.

Upon learning of his guarded magic roots, Harry gets enrolled in Hogwarts – a British school for witches and wizards. While there he learns to come into his own, meet people that are actually good to him, and learn more of his dark past.

This film introduces a lot about the magic world, the imagination of the writers was transferred quite impressively through the movie, such as Quidditch, spells, magic subjects,…

The film begins to get throbbing when Harry Potter and his friends discover an evil plot of a school teacher, to take advantage of Harry Potter to steal the magic stone. As it turns out, this teacher was being manipulated by Voldermort. Ending the first movie, with their wits and the protection of the principal Dumbledore, Harry Potter and his friends are still safe.The episode was a huge hit, opening the series of 7 extremely successful episodes later. For me, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was the most impressive episode.

The second episode of Harry Potter series is named Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The director is still Chris Columbus, the one making the first episode.  

Chris Columbus said he wanted to make a 2,5 hour movie that feels like 30 minutes. Well, he surely succeeded! I saw the movie as a member of the press and couldn’t get enough of it.        

Forced to spend his summer holidays with his muggle relations, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) gets a real shock when he suddenly meets Dobby (Toby Jones), the house-elf, who warns Harry against returning to Hogwarts, because terrible things are going to happen. Harry decides to ignore Dobby’s warning and continues going to Hogwarts. However, at Hogwarts, strange and terrible things are truly happening. Harry is hearing mysterious voices from inside the walls, muggle-born students are being attacked, and a message scrawled on the wall in blood puts everyone on his or her guard.

Harry and his friends gradually find out that the Basilisk is waken up, and it will harm all the students. When one of Harry’s friends, Ginny, was taken away, Harry and his two best friends risk their lives to go into the Chamber of Secrets to save her.

All are Voldermort’s conspiracy to return to the magic world. The rescue scenes at the end of the film are very tense, bringing unforgettable emotions to the viewers.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) is directed by Alfonso Cuarón and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.It is the sequel to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) and the third instalment in the Harry Potter film series.

Its story follows Harry Potter’s third year at Hogwarts as he is informed that a prisoner named Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban and intends to kill him.

In this film, Harry faces with dementors that are searching for Sirius. Things get worse when Sirius, by somehow, has entered the castle Hogwarts. The trio, Harry, Ron and Hermione, try to figure out all the untold stories.

Using the Marauder’s Map, they found out the biggest secret that Sirius is innocent, he also really loves Harry Potter because he is his godfather. At the end of the film, they manage to rescue Sirius Black.
In the whole movie, as usual, the magic world with more new things make viewers satisfied.

One of the most impressive things about this film is the way that the young cast are more sure of themselves. Harry is forced to grow up and confront both his past and his future, and come to terms with the reality that he is no ordinary wizard.

The movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban left a deep impression on me, making me really look forward to season 4.
