1. Câu khẳng địnhS + am/is/are + V-ing

Trong đó, động từ to be sẽ được chia theo chủ ngữ. Cụ thể:

• I + am + V-ing
• He/she/it/danh từ số ít/danh từ không đếm được + is + V-ing
• You/we/they/danh từ số nhiều + are + V-ing

2. Câu phủ địnhS + am/is/are + not + V-ing

 o Lưu ý nết trong ngoặc có '' not ''  có thể được viết tắt là isn’t và are not có thể được viết là aren’t , hoặc is not và are not .

3. Câu nghi vấn

• Dạng câu hỏi yes/no:
