We can't bathe. 3. Would you be very kind and answer this letter by return? 4. I am rather old. I can't wear that kind of hat. 5. The ladder wasn't very long. It didn't reach the window. 6. He hadn't much money. He couldn't live on it. (Omit it.) 7. He was furious. He couldn't speak. 8. The fire isn't very hot. It won't boil a kettle. 9. Tom was very foolish. He told lies to the police.

You are too young to have a front - door key.
2. It is very cold. We can't bathe.
It is so cold that we can't bathe.
3. The film was very boring . Nonody wanted to see it.
It was such an interesting film that nobody wanted to see it.
4. I am rather old. I can't wear that kind of hat.
I am not old enough to wear that kind of hat.
5. The ladder wasn't very long. It didn't reach the window.
The ladder wasn't strong enough to reach the window.
6. He hadn't much money. He couldn't live on it.
He hadn't enough money to live on.
7. He was furious. He couldn't speak.
He was so furious that he couldn't speak.
8. The fire isn't very hot. It won't boil a kettle.
The fire isn't hot enough to boild a kettle.
9. Tom was very foolish. He told lies to the police.
Tom was such a foolish boy that he told lies to the police.
