There are differences and similarities between Vietnamese and American cultures. In America, two generations board a home. In Vietname, two, three or maybe four generations live under one roof. In America, old_aged parentssleep in nursing homes but in Vietnam they support their children. it's not polite to ask American about age, marriage and income. However,it's normal in Vietnam. Americans can greet anyone within the family first but in Vietnam, that's wrong. As a rule, all members should greet the oldest one first. Americans go on a spree once every week and keep them in an exceedinglyrefrigerator. In Vietnam, inspite of getting refrigerator, they still go on a spree a day. Maybe, they require fresh foods, they consider that it's better for his or her health.
