20 years ago, almost all students didn't have computers to study. That's why they take so much time and energy to do their homework and communicate with each other. At that time, if they don't know how to do it, they can only go to the library to look up the information or meet their friends to discuss it. If they have an essay for homework, they have to draft it and then rewrite a new cleaner version. It was very inconvenient. The students couldn't update information about the school, social,... as quickly as possible. About the communication, they just could meet and talk face to face.
