At the beginning, the frog helps the princess find her ball. She promised to let the frog live with her but after the frog found the ball and gave it to her, she ran away as fast as possible to reach the castle with her. with the ball and forgot the promise. Then the frog also came to the castle and knocked on the door while the princess and king were eating. She ran to see if anyone was outside, but as soon as she opened the door she saw a frog in front of her. She slammed the door shut, hastily sat down to dinner, and appeared quite frightened. The king easily saw the scared princess, he asked the princess what scared her and she told him about her promise to the frog. the king after understanding everything he said: “What you have promised, you must do. At the end the frog said let him sleep in bed with her. The princess couldn't take it anymore and threw the frog against the wall..But when he fell down he was no frog but a King’s son with beautiful kind eyes.  He by her father’s will was now her dear companion and husband. Then he told her how he had been bewitched by a wicked witch, and how no one could have delivered him from the well but herself, and that tomorrow they would go together to his kingdom.The main theme of the story are a promise is a promise and you need to keep it.
