2.Nowadays, more and more people want to live in the city because of its advantages.
That aside, living in a city has a number of drawbacks. Firstly, there are traffic jams. During rush hours, there are so many vehicles that they cause traffic jams. The increase in population and vehicles owners have also intensified traffic accidents. Public transport is uncomfortable and inefficient to most people. Secondly, air pollution has negative effects on people's health, animals, vegetation and buildings. Citizens are suffering from breathing problems because air contains pollutants and gases such as carbon dioxide, sulphur and nitrogen beyond allowed limit. Thirdly, the city is noisy. Noise pollution comes from machines, vehicles, industrial factories. It may affect the mind, health and behaviour. Furthermore, it may also cause physical discomfort and temporary or permanent damage to hearing, headache and irritability, deafness, stress and high-blood pressure.
In conclusion, city has not only advantages but also drawbacks. If we want to live in the city, we must learn how to protect ourselves from the threats it may pose .
