Câu 1 : Did your children enjoy________ in the sea?     1.      D – sau một số động từ đặc biệt chỉ sở thích, yêu cầu (enjoy, like, love, finish, give up, postpone, risk, stop, try, delay,…) cộng với V-ing phía sau. Ở đây là hỏi về 1 sở thích lâu dài (enjoy swimming) 2.      C – câu hỏi đuôi (Tag question) phụ thuộc vào thì và thể của mệnh đề phía trước nó. Ở đây mệnh đề trước nó ở thì hiện tại hoàn thành, thể khẳng định, suy ra câu hỏi đuôi có trợ động từ của thì hiện tại hoàn thành và ở thể phủ định. => ‘haven’t you’. 3.      D – Đây là điều ước một khả năng trong tương lai, ta đổi modal verb ‘can’ thành ‘could’. 4.      B – với 1 ngày cụ thể (có thể cộng thêm tháng, năm) ta dùng giới từ ‘on’. 5.      A – ‘by himself’ (anh ấy tự làm). 6.      B – Câu điều kiện loại 1 (conditional sentence) diễn tả khả năng có thể trong hiện tại. Mệnh đề if  ở hiện tại đơn, mệnh đề chính ở tương lai đơn. 7.      C – Thì hiện tại hoàn thành, được nhận biết qua từ since (kể từ khi). Hành động này đã bắt đầu từ trong quá khứ và vẫn kéo dài đến hiện tại. => ‘Have known.’ 8.      A – Dựa vào nghĩa của cụm từ phía sau ‘When leaving our room’ (khi rời khỏi phòng) ta chọn‘Turn off’ (tắt đi). 9.      D – ‘Go somewhere for a drink’ (đi đâu đó uống nước). 10.  A – Though = Althoug = Even though (mặc dù) là hợp nghĩa nhất, những từ nối còn lại không phù hợp. 11.  B – The hand of the clock (kim chỉ của đồng hồ) . Kim chỉ của đồng hồ ta dùng từ ‘hand’ chứ không phải ‘pointer’ hay những lựa chọn khác. Để phân biệt các kim, ta có ‘hour hand’, ‘minute hand’, ‘second hand’. 12.  B – Khi ta đồng ý với đề xuất, ý tưởng của ai, ta thường dùng mẫu câu “That’s a good idea.” (Đó là một ý kiến hay).
