The television set is an indispensable household item today. It now takes up its familiar place as the focal point of the living room. It has even ventured into bedrooms. The television set is one of the best ways to get the latest news and to watch films.
The television set was not fully electronic when it was first invented. Its screen actually had a small motor and a small lamp. When the motor and the lamp were turned on, they worked together to give out a reddish orange picture. The picture was blurry and it was only about the size of a business card!

This time the event was broadcast in colour. The programme was much more realistic than the previous ones.
