a. Pronouns one(s), someone, no one, anyone, everyone (Đại từ bất định)

• One, ones (cái ,người ....mà ,những cái ,những người....)
  • "One" và "Ones" này không liên quan gì đến số đếm.
  • Chúng dùng để thay thế danh từ đã được nhắc đến trước đó và tùy theo danh từ đó số ít hay số nhiều mà ta dùng ONE ( thế cho danh từ số ít ) hay ONES ( thế cho danh từ số nhiều )
  • Ví dụ minh họa
    • Ex 1: There are three books on the table. Which one do you like? I like the red one. ONE trong câu này thay thế cho danh từ "book", dịch là quyển sách.
    • Ex 2: There are a lot of houses on this street. Which ones do you like? I like the blue ones. ONES trong các câu này thế cho danh từ "houses", dịch là những căn nhà.
• Someone (Người nào đó)
  • Thường dùng với động từ ở ngôi thứ ba số ít
  • Thường được dùng trong câu khẳng định

    • Someone has stolen my sandals.
• No one (Không một ai cả)
  • Thường dùng với động từ ở ngôi thứ ba số ít
  • Thường được dùng trong câu khẳng định nhưng mang nghĩa phủ định
  • Ví dụ minh họa
    • No one likes him. (Không một ai thích anh ta.)
• Anyone (Bất kỳ ai)
  • Thường dùng với động từ ở ngôi thứ ba số ít
  • Thường dùng trong câu phủ định hoặc nghi vấn
  • Ví dụ minh họa
    • Don't believe anyone in this house. (Đừng có tin bất cứ ai trong ngôi nhà này.)
• Everyone (Mọi/mỗi người)
  • Thường dùng với động từ ở ngôi thứ ba số ít
  • Thường dùng trong câu khẳng định
  • Ví dụ minh họa
    • Everyone knows the truth except her.

4. someone ---> Có ai đó ở ngoài cửa. Bạn có thể đi ra xem ai ngoài đó không?
5. no one ---> Anh ta không đến lớp 3 ngày rồi, và không ai biết anh ta ở đâu.
6. everyone ---> Chúng ta có thể bắt đầu được chưa? Mọi người đến cả rồi chứ?
7. no one ---> Mọi người nói rằng họ sẽ đến dự buổi tiệc, nhưng không có ai xuất hiện.

2. Mai is making a fruit cake. Huong is making a fruit cake, too.
3. I like reading books, especially the books about the natural world.
4. I don't have a computer, and my father doesn't want me to have a computer.

6. There are several national celebrations in Vietnam, but perhaps the most meaningful celebration is Tet holiday.
7. We hold each other both happy stories and sad stories about our lives.
