- The match is played in 4 games, 10 minutes each game (FIBA tournament) or 12 minutes (NBA tournament). College matches played 20 minutes per round, while high school games played 8 minutes per game.
There is a 15-minute break in each half for FIBA, NBA, or NCAA, and 10 minutes for high schools.

A match consists of two 45-minute halves with a half-time break of 15 minutes.


Each team can choose up to 7 substitutes. A substitution can be made at any time during the match with each team being allowed a maximum of 3 substitution for each side. In the event of all three substitutes being made and one player leaving the field due to injury, the team will be forced to play without a substitute player.
Each match must have one referee and two assistant referees (operator). It is the referee's job to act as timekeeper and make any decisions that may be required such as fouls, free kicks, throw-in, penalties and are added on time at the end of each round.
If the match requires extra time due to the tie of both teams, 30 minutes will be added in the form of two 15-minute halves after the specified 90 minutes.

The entire ball must cross the goal line for it to form a goal.
