Chu Van An (1292–1370), whose real name is Chu An, alias Tieu An, whose literal name is Linh Triet, is a teacher, physician, and officer of Dai Viet at the end of the Tran dynasty. After his death, he was awarded the title of Van Trinh Cong by King Tran, and in later generations he was called Chu Van An or Chu Van Trinh. He was recognized by Dai Viet Chronicles as the ancestor of Vietnamese grapes. He was honored by UNESCO as "World Cultural Celebrity" He is considered a man of all times, a prominent teacher of Vietnam, devoted his whole life to teaching, with the philosophy of humanistic education, regardless of rich and poor, studying with practice, learning life to know, to work and contribute to society. His thoughts did not affect many generations of Vietnamese but also contributed to the development of valuable humanities in the region. His educational perspective has made valuable progress, close to the educational goals of today's world.
