I have been living in Ho Chi Minh City for five years, or we can call it Sai Gon. Sai Gon is not only a very famous in Vietnam, but a lot of people from all over the world know about it. Firstly, Sai Gon has many iconic places to visit such as Ben Thanh market, Nguyen Hue walking street, Grand Theater etc. If we do not take pictures in front of one of those places, people will assume that we had not visited Sai Gon. Secondly, the cuisine here is very diverse and attractive. We can find almost all of the featuring dishes from all parts of Vietnam, and the flavors will not disappoint us. The night markets are true heaven for us to discover and try those foods, and we better prepare our wallet to eat as much as we can.  I always wonder why do people here never stay in their houses, and it seems that they have to move on the road to make a living. High buildings are everywhere, and it is true that each inch of land here worth the same or even bigger amount of gold. Sometimes it makes me tired and frustrated, but Sai Gon is actually a worthy place to live and develop my career. For people who always seek for opportunity, Ho Chi Minh City is their ideal place to come.

Vacations are the best time to relax and enjoy with family and friends, it’s the time I eagerly waited for every year. Every year my school closes in the middle of the month of May and reopens by the first week of July. As my Annual exams get over and the results are declared so it’s the time when I can relax without the worries of my studies and exams.

This time I got promoted to class sixth from class fifth. After the hard labor for the examinations, I wanted some rest so I put aside my books for a few weeks and want to spend my whole time with my friends and family. On the very first morning of my holidays I went out to play with my friends but it was a very hot and humid outside so we decided to play indoor games. In the evening I asked my parents to take me to any of the hill stations to beat the heat. My father told me that he already planned a trip for Nainital Rishikesh with my Uncle’s family as he made all the necessary bookings.

It was too hot in Delhi, the sun was scorching and the wind was deliberating. Fortunately my father was taking me to Nainital. Me and my parents reached Rishikesh, it’s very pleasant there and our resort was also very beautiful and full of greenery near the bank of River Ganga. My uncle, my aunty and my cousins were all very excited to see all of us. They welcomed us with a warm heart.

At Rishikesh I went to the bank of River Ganga in the morning and it was very pleasant to see hundreds of men and women bathing in the stream of Ganga and then offering prayers in the different temples of its “Ghats”. Then we left to see other beautiful places at Rishikesh. We visited Laxmi jhoola, Triveni ghat and many other spots all fascinated me. I saw a large number of trees bearing beautiful fruits and flowers. In evening resort arranged a bonfire for all guests at the bank of Ganga. We all enjoyed lot, make some new friends and had delicious snacks followed by equally delicious dinner.

We remained there for four days, enjoyed river rafting and many other adventure activities. From there my father and my uncle planned to go on a pilgrimage tour. We left for Haridwar, Mathura and Vrindavan. The scenery and views of all these places was beautiful and breathtaking. Of all the vacations this was my best summer vacation ever, mainly because my cousins were also there. I told my parents to plan similar holidays for every summer vacation, in the coming years.

The vacation was over and I was back to school but my mind was still remembering the sweet memories of the summer vacation. I will await the next summer holidays and would love to go on this type of vacation again and again
