* How does the COVID-19 pandemic affect teenagers?
- One of the biggest impacts teenagers feel comes from closing schools, staying at home with family members, and not being able to see friends and peers. Adolescents have different developmental needs than adults. 
- Adolescents are at a stage in life when they are very invested in social connections and separate from their parents. So COVID-19 social distancing requirements have a different emotional impact on them than on adults. 
- Depending on their age and stage of development, some teenagers may have difficulty understanding what the pandemic really means and how it will impact their world.

- For some of those who have access to the internet and the necessary technology, teenagers can connect with friends through virtual platforms to stay in touch and maintain social connections. Having more time together as a family also benefits growth.
- Families can start doing things they might not have had time to do together before – like playing board games after dinner and starting new family traditions.
