Tet is a national holiday. This is an opportunity for all Vietnamese people to have a good time thinking about the old year and the next year. During Tet, spring fairs are held, streets and buildings are brightly decorated, and most shops do Tet shopping. At home, everything is cleaned up, traditional dishes, other dishes, soft drinks, flowers and betel nut are placed on the ancestral altar along with the prepared incense bowl. Groundbreaking was carried out when lucky customers came to visit and their descendants received lucky money to celebrate the new year. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often treat each other well and friends, relatives, and neighbors exchange best wishes for the new year.
